Week 50!!!!!!!! Busy in the Cause with Sister Underly:)

Sister Wilkins

Family and Friends whom I love so dearly,

Another week living the dream in the mission field! Sister Wilkins and I are just working so hard trying to find people to teach! Being a missionary is literally the greatest calling ever.

Monday we had Home Evening with Samantha and it was fantastic! She is so wonderful and I feel so blessed to know her and be able to be in her life! She is like my older sister! We talked about how we can be a light for others to see. She sent us a quote: "Don't shine so others can see you. Shine so that through you, others can see Him." She is transitioning super well. We also did Home Evening with our new Bishop and his family. We were taught the principle of prayer and the importance of prayer. Prayer is so powerful. Sometimes we don't even realize how powerful prayer is. Then we did Home evening with a less active family that wants to attend the Temple so badly! It was awesome! Just a great day full of the Spirit and learning about the gospel. What could be better?

Tuesday we had a great District meeting from Elder Hults. We discussed our personal studies and we were all truly edified. We also discussed the Book of Mormon and its power! Ah I love the Book of Mormon! After, all the Sisters went to Sister Baldwin's house and had smoothies! We have such hard working Sisters! We taught some lessons and had a great lesson with one of our returning less actives- John! He wants to go to the Temple!! Incredible!

Wednesday was absolutely hectic and perfect! We had such amazing lessons with our brothers and sisters that are so solid and progressing so well. It is amazing to see the change and light in their eyes as they progress in the gospel! The gospel blesses lives! I have seen it right before my own eyes! We had a super powerful lesson on the Restoration with a part member family. His heart is totally softening.

Thursday we planned and planned. It was a slower day but just as great! We had dinner with this less active family who totally rocks and is the sweetest! Then we had correlation with Brother Reed (WML).

Friday we celebrated Dean's birthday (investigator) with some red velvet cake and Grandma and Grandpa came too! Dean hasn't had anyone sing to him happy birthday in years and he was really touched and started to cry! He has had a rough life but he sees the light that comes from the gospel!!! Dean wants that light in his life forever! We had some more great lessons that day.

Saturday we spent a lot of time at the park and found people to teach! It was a great day! It was so windy I thought I was in Kansas...We saw this older guy playing the guitar and talked with him and his sweet soon to be wife! They were too cute! We also met Bill who is from Liberia (18) and is really interested in learning about the gospel. He doesn't know too much about God and His nature but is willing to listen. We taught him the Restoration. We then had a church tour and MIRACLE: Samantha was able to come and be our member with us!!! She testified so powerfully of baptism and that priesthood authority! It was awesome!

Sunday a ton of out investigators came to church! Shelby is progressing so well! Please pray for her!! She came to all 3 hours of church! She is doing amazing! We learned a ton about keeping the sabbath day holy and re enthroning the sabbath and keeping it holy!!

I loved the scripture in the Book of Mormon in Alma 13:27-29

SHALL WE NOT GO ON IN SO GREAT A CAUSE?
till next week
